The River Walk, also dubbed the “American Venice”, is one of the greatest attractions in Texas, USA. It is visited by millions of people from all over the world every year. It is situated one storey beneath the town in downtown San Antonio along the banks of the San Antonio River.

If you are here during Christmas, you will experience the magical Ford Holiday River Parade, a tradition that has been going on for over 30 years. Boat Tour

The entire River Walk stretch is lined with shops, but you can get a real shopping experience at the Rivercenter Mall. This is a 4-level shopping complex. It has over 100 shops, a hotel (Marriot hotel) and restaurants.

Located on the mall are also IMAX and AMC theatres where you can enjoy movies and shows. You can also enjoy local Mexican-themed shopping stores and other local stores all over and along the river bank.

Nightlife

The night life along River Walk is vibrant and entertaining. You can enjoy live music at joints such as Howl at the Moon and also at the outdoor theatres.
